Texture – Unlimited Magazines App Reviews

This app is well worth the money but....

This is really a great app. I recommend it to everyone however, with the new update, it doesnt keep your place within the magazine anymore. If you get out of it and go back to the same magazine, it brings you back to the front cover and you have to find where you left off.

Must Have App

Best app Ive ever downloaded! Its reasonably priced, offers many magazine titles and I havent had a single problem since downloading it :-)!

Texture

The best love it needs better overview of how to really manage a share process give a premium type options that I could pay so I can share with my boys. Thank you. Joe

Just what I needed!

I love magazines... Love them. There is no way to recycle them where I live, so they end up in stacks until we can drive down to my moms where they will take anything. So $10 a month for all the mags I can read, including all my faves? No stacks of mags all over, for less than I spend on them per month? YES please! You have just made my whole year! Now if you could keep our place, youd be perfect! Thank you!!!

Loses place

With the most recent update, the application loses your progression within the issue you are reading. You have to find the page you were on yourself. Very annoying! Please fix.

I Love It Too!

I agree that its a great app for just reading the articles Im interested in, in a large range of magazines, without having to buy all of those magazines.

Must Have App!

I love magazines - from pop culture to science to recipes. However, my life just doesnt allow me the chunks of time to read and catch up like it used to. My magazines started to pile up and remain in stacks, unread. Now I have access to so many different types of magazines & can read without lugging pounds and pounds of paper! I love the highlighted articles and the ability to download and read if Im going to be offline. Worth the $$.

Good, could be great

Great selection to browse from. The only problems I have with this app is the inability to remove the top stories section from the home screen. There should be a toggle switch to get rid of these annoying articles that are the main page when you open the app. I want to be able to customize the home screen to however I so desire, not a bunch of "recommended" articles or whatever they are. And the MAIN issue I have with this app is the inability to bookmark a page in a magazine so you can restart where you left off if you are reading a magazine cover to cover. The only close thing they offer is saving an article for later reading. Not quite the same thing. This should be a basic feature that was in the very first version of the app. Get that fixed and it will be fantastic.

Unreliable

Downloads are unreliable; now frequently crashes.

Love it.

Great reading experience, beautiful layout. Good variety of magazines.

New Update Keeps Crashing

Every time I choose anything from my library or highlights. Please fix! I am surprised you dont have crash alarms for this kind of stuff.

Great, excellent

I have no words to express my feelings. Its the best mag app that Ive ever seen. Perfect!

Super annoying, non-functioning

I have been using the app for 2+ years. It has never been ideal, but it has gotten better. What prompted this review is a "new" glitch. I mostly read design magazines and articles there tend to be short. However recently Ive tried to read some long Vanity Fair articles and boy what a nightmare. The articles keep snapping back to the top section for no reason-and no intervention on my part. I had to re-scrolled the length of the article at least 30 times for one article. NO article (no matter how well written) is worth the aggravation! Texture fix this problem. I pay the higher monthly subscription fee so I can access more magazines and content, except I cant really read everything I want because the app doesnt work properly! How do you spell rip-off?

I LOVE this app!!

I just love Texture ! Besides getting my favorite magazines, I am getting exposed to some that I wasnt aware of. I just finished reading the 3-part series, Mastermind, in The Atavist Magazine. I had never heard of this magazine before, but I thoroughly enjoyed every word. Thank you, Texture, for broadening my horizons! Im looking forward to many more enlightening hours!

No longer fear my magazine stack will fall and bury the cat!

Love this app. Wish you could bookmark pages to keep your place and it would be awesome if this app linked with the Paprika app to save recipes from all the great cooking magazines. Since I can no longer rip out the pages I want to keep, how do I save the recipes I want to try??

Amazing app.

So far I love this app. The price is affordable and I have my favorite magazines at the touch of my fingertips.

Crashes!

Just updated my OS and app and now it crashes when i open. Pls fix thus problem asap.

Great app, one suggestion

Would love it if the pages were OCRed so that the text size could be adjusted, or taken into a "reading" view. Otherwise fantastic app and service!

App Crashing

With the latest iOS upgrade the app crashes immediately. It was a great platform prior to this.

Terrific app

The combination of Texture on an iPad Pro is nearly perfect. The only capability I miss is ability to cut/paste. Often see a product name ld like to research and have to write it down to move to browser. Probably outside Textures control. I do find the "Science and Technology" category a bit light on science. Would like to see "Scientific American", "Science", "Astronomy", "Archeology", etc.. Would also like some heavier non-science fare - "The Economist", "Foreign Affairs" would be examples. Also why two golf magazines and no tennis....
